Calm Mind (Japanese: めいそう Meditation) is a non-damaging Psychic-type move introduced in Generation III.

It is:

Effect

Calm Mind raises the user's Special Attack and Special Defense stats by one stage each.

Calm Mind can be used as the first move of a Pokémon Contest combination, causing Confusion, Dream Eater, Future Sight, Light Screen, Luster Purge, Meditate, Mist Ball, Psybeam, Psychic, Psycho Boost, Psywave, and Reflect to score double the normal appeal if used in the next turn. It can also be used as part of a Contest Spectacular combination, causing Baton Pass and Stored Power to give user an extra three appeal points if they are used in the next turn.

If powered up by Psychium Z, all of the user's lowered stats are reset.

Generation VIII

Pokémon Legends: Arceus

Calm Mind's PP has been reduced to 10, and it raises the user's offensive and defensive stats for four turns.
