- The Fairy Feather is the last non-consumable type-enhancing item to be introduced that is not related to a specific Pokémon, such as Plates.
- Prior to the introduction of the Fairy Feather in The Teal Mask, the Fairy Gem and Pixie Plate were introduced as held items that boost the power of Fairy-type attacks, but only the latter has ever been made obtainable.
