Like many other celebs in Hollywood, Jonah Hill has quite a few tattoos. And just like other famous personalities, he hasn't outright explained all of his ink. But eagle-eyed fans think they have some ideas about which ones are important, and what each one means.

It wasn't until after Jonah's impressive weight loss that fans really saw all of his tattoos. The actor has tats on his chest, arms, and various other places on his body. But it's one of his most visible that they say is the most meaningful of all.

Jonah Hill's Tattoos Are Tributes To His Family

Jonah's tattoos are numerous, including a massive pirate ship, a panther, and others that seem fairly self-explanatory. After all, big cats are often used as symbols of strength, while the pirate ship could illustrate an adventurous spirit.

In essence, Hill's tattoos are far more meaningful than, say, other celebs' when they get inked because of losing a bet -- like Tom Hardy. Though some are likely tongue-in-cheek, as Jonah has a reputation for his sense of humor, the majority have a deeper meaning.

In fact, Jonah Hill also has tattoos that are tributes to his family. In fact, one of his tattoos clearly reads "Nanny Rules," as a tribute to his grandmother (whom he called Nanny). It's surrounded by a heart, too, and shows off Hill's family connections -- though some say it says "Nancy" versus "Nanny."

It's not just his grandma that he's gotten inked for, though.

Jonah Hill Has A Tattoo In Honor Of His Sister

Some siblings of celebrities become famous just because of their adjacence to Hollywood. But Jonah Hill's sister is paving a path of her own toward a lucrative acting career. Beanie Feldstein is Jonah's younger sibling, and she's got her brother's support when it comes to carving out her own place in Hollywood.

In fact, in 2017, Beanie earned a part in a production of 'Hello, Dolly!' and her big brother Jonah (their eldest sibling passed away that same year) paid tribute in a long-lasting way. His arm tattoo reads 'Hello, Beanie!' in direct recognition of Beanie's big break.

What's even more adorable (and meaningful) is that Jonah and his late brother actually gave Beanie (real name Elizabeth) her nickname when she was a baby. Then, it stuck, and it's now Feldstein's stage name.

And when it came time to get his tribute ink, Jonah even chose a font that matches the show's. No doubt Beanie appreciated the gesture, as she and her brother appear to have a close bond.

It's just one more thing that makes Jonah Hill an uncommon celebrity, and a really relatable one at that.
