Olivia Mapes Obituary, Death Cause – Olivia Faye Mapes, 70, of Fostoria, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024, at St. Catherine’s Manor of Fostoria. Born on October 19, 1953, in Bluffton, Ohio, to the late Alva and Patricia Sue (Wright) Mapes, Olivia lived a life marked by resilience, family, and service. Olivia married Terry Steffen, and though their paths later diverged in divorce, she leaves behind a legacy of love and family.
She is survived by two daughters, Jenna (Eric) Steffen Lordemann of Petersburg, Nebraska, and Alicia (Donald) Steffen DeLong of O’Neill, Nebraska. Olivia also leaves behind three cherished grandchildren, Emma, Riley, and Dylan, and a sister, Christina Kincaid of Fostoria. A homemaker and United States Air Force veteran, Olivia’s life was a testament to dedication and service. She found joy in simple pleasures, indulging in puzzles, reading books, and watching TV in her leisure time.
In honoring Olivia’s memory, there will be no services. The arrangements have been entrusted to Hoening & Son Funeral Home, located at 133 W. Tiffin St., Fostoria, Ohio 44830.
