Sending a signal. Olivia Wilde just clarified her stance on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce‘s dating life after a shady Instagram post.

Swift and Kelce’s romance all started out with the fateful friendship bracelets at the Eras Tour. Since then, the Kansas City tight end has been bombarded about questions about his relationship status with the 33-year-old Midnights artist. “I said what I said. And I meant what I said when I said it. And you know what, it is what it is,” he said, before playing it coy about their relationship status on NFL+ With Andrew Siciliano. “I’m not gonna talk about my personal life,” he added.

Kelce went on to playfully tease listeners. “I know what you writers wanna hear, and you wanna hear more about that and I’m not gonna give you anything,” he joked while pointing a finger at the camera. Sicilliano pressed him for more, however. “Has she reached out?” he asked, to which Travis remained tight-lipped. “And that’s gonna wrap it up here,” he said, ending the interview. So many Kelce and Swift updates have happened since then and are they ready to take it the next step and buy a house together?

    Olivia Wilde was approached by photographers who asked about the post. “I meant no harm,” Olivia responded, according to a video obtained by the Daily Mail. “It’s obviously a comment on how much attention gets paid to stupid things.” 

    On October 6, the Don’t Worry Darling director and star reposted an X post on her Instagram story reading, “I wish Taylor Swift was in love with a climate scientist.” Katja Herbers, who posted the original post, added: “Taylor would join her scientist at an end fossil fuels rally and the world would be saved.”

    Wilde and Swift share the same ex-boyfriend: Harry Styles. On November 18, 2022, People reported that the “As It Was” singer and the Booksmart director had called it quits after two years of dating. Swift and Styles were in a relationship from November 2012 to January 2013. Styles, who is believed to inspired Swift’s tracks “Style” and “Out of the Woods,” opened up about their relationship and what it was like to have a song written about him in an interview with Howard Stern in 2020.

    “I think about what it means to me to write a song about somebody else and for somebody else to do that, it’s like flattering, even if the song isn’t that flattering, you still spent time on it and ultimately, using Taylor as an example, she’s a great songwriter. So at least they’re good songs,” he said. He continued, “The only time you really think, ’is this song too personal?’ is if you think about, ‘is this going to be really annoying for the other person?’ Because I do [care].”

    The Midnights singer, 33, made it out to Kelce’s field on October 12, 2023, to support the NFL tight end at his team’s game against the Denver Broncos, which took place the same evening. While at the game, Swift was spotted chatting it up with Brittany Mahomes, wife to Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes, along with Kelce’s mom, Donna Kelce. 

    She was spotted at a second game where Kelce was playing the New York Jets in East Rutherford, New Jersey two weeks after her outing. Taylor’s appearance at the Chiefs vs. Broncos game marks her third time attending an NFL game this season in support of her rumored beau. Prior to this game, the 1989 (Taylor’s Version) singer skipped the Kansas City Chiefs game against the Minnesota Vikings on October 8, 2023. Things were seemingly confirmed when Swift and Kelce were spotted after appearing on Saturday Night Live holding hands while on a date at Catch Steak in New York City.

    In a post-game conference, Kelce admitted he’s still adjusting to the media attention. “We’re learning with the paparazzi just taking photos all over the place,” he explained. “At the same time, it comes with it. You’ve got a lot of people that care about Taylor, and for good reason. Just got to keep living and learning and enjoying the moments. At the end of the day, I’ve always been pretty good about compartmentalizing and being able to stay focused in this building. I’ll just keep rolling with that.”
