Shooting In South Plainfield – The suspect was taken into custody after three individuals were discovered dead inside an apartment in New Jersey. A neighbor stated that it was not the first time there had been trouble at the apartment previously, and according to the police, three persons, two men and a woman, were shot and killed inside of a condominium in the state of New Jersey. At approximately nine in the morning, law enforcement officers arrived at the residence located on Coppola Drive, which is located off New Durham Road in South Plainfield. According to a press release issued by the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office on Monday, the incident occurred after a neighbor called in to report hearing guns fired at the Traditions condominium complex.
As soon as they arrived, the officers discovered three people who had been shot, two of whom were men and one of whom was a woman. Law enforcement officials stated that the woman and one of the guys were both pronounced dead at the scene of the incident. The other individual, who had been shot many times, was treated at the hospital after being transported there. Later on, he succumbed to his wounds and died. Another individual was taken into custody for interrogation and was subsequently charged with a crime.
The charges against Om Brahmbhatt include three counts of first-degree murder as well as two counts of possession of a weapon in the second degree. It’s possible that Brahmbhatt, who is now 23 years old, resided in the same house. At this time, the identities of the three individuals that were slain have not been made public. The Middlesex County Adult Correctional Facility was the location where Brahmbhatt was being detained, but the police did not disclose how any of the three individuals knew him.
It was not the first time that the police had been summoned to the condominium, according to a neighbor who spoke with NBC New York. Jim Short, a neighbor who lives upstairs from the apartment where the bodies of three people were discovered, stated that he did not actually know the deceased individuals. “I just know that there was a time when the police were there for a domestic violence call?” It could take place anywhere, but the fact that it is just downstairs is quite unsettling. There are dozens of surveillance cameras installed in the Traditions apartment complex, which is home to a large number of young families who emigrated from India. Neighbors are hoping that these cameras will assist law enforcement.
Every building has cameras both outside and inside the breezeway, and there are cameras everywhere around the complex. There are also cameras that are coming in and going out of the property. “So, I really hope that will be of some assistance,” added another neighbor named Victor Orozco. The South Plainfield Police Department is now conducting an investigation that is still underway. The town police or the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office are requesting that anyone who may have information regarding the shooting contact them or call them.
