When moviegoers go to the cinema, they sit in their seats and watch their favorite actors' latest antics on a screen that dwarves even the biggest people on the planet. With that in mind, it makes all the sense in the world that a lot of people think of the biggest movie stars as being larger than life. In reality, however, there are a surprisingly large amount of Hollywood leading men who are shorter than most people realize.

In recent years it has become pretty common knowledge that Tom Cruise is a pretty short guy. In fact, a lot of people like to joke about Cruise standing on boxes or having his female co-stars stand in holes to appear shorter than him. On the other hand, there aren’t any similar rumors about the famed Star Wars actor Harrison Ford. For that reason, it is very shocking that one of the most successful modern actors once referred to Ford as “a scrawny little man”.

A Gigantic Star

When you look at Harrison Ford’s acting career, it quickly becomes clear that he is one of the biggest movie stars of all time. After all, Ford has starred in so many legendary movies that it is simply staggering to look at the highlights of Ford’s filmography.

Of course, it should go without saying that the most impactful role of Harrison Ford’s life is Han Solo. After all, even though many Star Wars characters are almost universally beloved, Han Solo almost certainly is the most popular of them all. Considering that Solo can be so charming and he is a lovable rogue that always does the right thing in the end, his popularity makes perfect sense.

In addition to Star Wars, Harrison Ford has starred in a slew of other movies that will go down in history. For example, Ford’s portrayal of the titular character is one of the main reasons why the Indiana Jones franchise was almost as popular as Star Wars at its height. Another one of Harrison’s films is an all-time classic even though Ford doesn’t like Blade Runner. The Fugitive also is an infinitely rewatchable film which is why it is widely considered to be one of the best thrillers of all time. Considering how successful all of those films are and the fact that he has starred in many more popular movies, Ford deserves to be called a behemoth in the movie business.

A Major Detractor

As anyone who follows the entertainment industry should already know, Hollywood is an extremely fickle place. For proof of that, all you have to do is look at the many examples of actors who rose to prominence only to see their career hit the skids not long after. Since so many actors have had their careers come to an unceremonious end, most movie stars do everything they can to not make enemies in the business.

Unlike a lot of his peers who would never want to offend a massive movie star, Alec Baldwin clearly isn’t worried about pissing Harrison Ford off. After all, when Baldwin released a memoir titled “Nevertheless: A Memoir” in 2017, he didn’t hold back with his opinion of Ford.

In his Memoir, Alec Baldwin details how it feels to meet major movie stars only to realize that they are tiny in real life, and in doing so, he called out Harrison Ford in specific. “The movies really do enhance certain actors, making them seem like something they really aren’t. Ford, in person, is a little man, short, scrawny, and wiry, whose soft voice sounds as if it’s coming from behind a door.”

For people who aren’t overly familiar with Alec Baldwin and Harrison Ford’s careers, it may seem strange that one of them would take a swipe at the other. However, when you remember that Baldwin was the first person to play the beloved character, Jack Ryan, on the big screen and then Ford took over the role, it seems like there may be a grudge there.

Anger Issues

Throughout Alec Baldwin’s career, he has predominantly been cast as suave and cool characters. Considering Baldwin’s good looks and smooth voice, that certainly makes a lot of sense. However, once you learn more about Baldwin’s conduct off-screen, it seems a lot more strange. More importantly for the purposes of this article, the idea that Baldwin took a seemingly random swipe at Harrison Ford in his memoir seems a lot more fitting.

Over the years, Alec Baldwin has been caught on camera losing his temper on so many occasions that it is would be foolish to try to list them all here. Baldwin also has a history of taking his anger out on other famous people including his own daughter and the controversial actor Shia LaBeouf. On top of that, Alec wound up in court after he was charged with misdemeanor attempted assault and harassment after he lost his temper during a parking lot incident. After pleading guilty, Baldwin agreed to take anger management classes.
